"Everybody's retarded in their own way"

This is a good one. So I was having dinner with my freind, her boyfriend, and one of my aides. As we were leaving the resturant, this homeless man walked by and upon seeing me said, "I used to take care of my retarded sister." My aide and my friend said "She's not retarded." Upon learning this, he said, "Everybody's retarded in their own way."

Wow. Reminded me of "everyone is beautiful in their own way." Happy Monday.

  4. I personal love it. Not the situation but the comment itself is hilarious and I think I will use it often. Only because it is so outlandish it is comical.

  6. I've written about such words before and find this comment hysterical, true, and insightful! I thought your "beautiful in their own way" situation was a bit "yechier" (what a word) but this one makes me want to change the name of my blog! From a socialogical point of view, I wonder if he was older, if he was "proud" that he took care of his sister, what his story is.

Keep posting ... yours is a valuable voice.
